GREG DOHERTY, Pool Construction Manager - I have been in the pool industry for 35 years, ran a gunite pool  company with my brother on the south shore for 20 yrs. Worked with some of the largest landscape architects in New England designing custom gunite pools in the Boston area as well as the cape and islands. I have extensive background in the structural design of gunite pools example reinforcement of rebar and the overall application of gunite application in terms of swimming pool construction. Moved to the cape from the town of Easton mass 2yrs ago a long with my son Owen and fiance Erin 

Ian started in the landscape and stone masonry contracting business in 1996 on Nantucket Island and expanded to Cape Cod in 2000. He has been through numerous acquisitions and mergers. He and his team at Blue Claw Associates have worked over the past three+ decades on projects on Nantucket, from Provincetown to Pocasset, and the Boston suburbs. After the sale of his first company in 2007, Ian went on to be a founder of the National Basketball League of Canada where he served as Chief Operating Officer of the league and President & General Manager of his team, the Saint John Mill Rats (Saint John, New Brunswick). In 2016, after the birth of his daughter Hazelle, he returned to Cape Cod and launched Blue Claw Associates Inc., at the behest of his former employees. Blue Claw Associates Inc. primarily serves high-end residential landscape clients in Cape Cod, Boston, and Nantucket Island in association with the landscape design community.

Blue Claw Associates Inc. is an investor/owner in several other companies including Blue Water Pools & Spas Inc., Aqua Blue Window Cleaning Corp, and The Blue Claw Group.

In addition to owning his own company, for three years (2008-2010) he was part of the construction management team at the prestigious landscape design-build firm, ZEN Associates Inc. in Woburn, Massachusetts where he helped manage an $8 million dollar project in Weston. Further, Ian was part of the construction division management at Maffei Landscape Contractors in Mashpee, Massachusetts during the transition of the sale of the business to Chenmark Capital Management LLC in 2017. His first career was accounting and was a partner in Account-Ability Inc., a bookkeeping & tax firm, in Nantucket, Massachusetts out of college until 1998.

Ian holds a Business Degree from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Ian was honored to be on the cover of Lawn & Landscape magazine in 2002 in his first company and then featured again in 2021. He was born in Washington, DC, and raised between Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Nantucket. He lives on Cape Cod with his wife and two younger kids, Connor and Hazelle. His eldest, Payton, is married and lives in Hawaii.
