Pool Work and Surrounding Landscape: Questions to Assign

Published · Blue Water Pools & Spas

Pool projects connect with access routes, patios, grading, plantings and other outdoor areas. Early coordination works best when questions have an owner and assumptions are written down.

This guide organizes the handoff. Final responsibility, sequencing and design must be confirmed in project documents by the participating teams.

Start with the pool scope

List questions about the pool itself, intended use and requested features for the custom pool construction conversation. Keep surrounding landscape requests in a second section.

Map the surrounding work

Identify patios, walks, walls, planting areas, lawn restoration and existing outdoor features that may connect to the project. Use the Blue Claw pool-surround service page as a separate landscape reference.

Assign open questions

Create columns for pool team, landscape team, owner and needs joint confirmation. Put every open access, edge, drainage, finish and restoration question in one column rather than assuming responsibility.

Confirm drawing and change handoffs

Ask which current plans each team needs, who distributes revisions and how site changes will be documented. The custom pool consultation checklist can organize owner priorities.

Use one coordination record

Bring the scope map, question assignments and current plans to the first coordination discussion. Contact Blue Water Pools & Spas to review the pool portion for the specific property.
